California Surf Musuem in oceanside welcomes Chango

That’s right.  This FANTASTIC Surf Museum is now home to the Surf Monkey.

After all, the Surf Monkey has been around for at least 40 years at the Tijuana border and has hitched rides North in the backseats of thousands of vehicles coming home from Baja surf safaris, party weekends, church work trips, or what-have-you.

“Chango” has earned his place as a Southern California Surf-Culture Icon.  And thanks to Todd Quinn and the California Surf Museum’s commitment to “preserving our surfing heritage”, the Surf Monkey now has it’s rightful place alongside other surf classics.

Here’s Todd, welcoming the monkey into his new museum home.

And below…the museum-quality Surf Monkeys, ready for adoption.
